Presbyterian Christian School Partners with Lexington Independents “Dining Elevates Student Experience”

Lexington Independents

Lexington Independents is proud to announce our culinary management partnership with Presbyterian Christian School (PCS), an independent K3-12 Christian school in Hattiesburg, MS.

PCS desires to provide a strong dining program that enhances the overall student experience at PCS, so a partnership with Lexington, a food service specialist known for their high-quality and elevating dining experiences, was the ideal choice,” said Jimmy Messer, Head of School.

With an August 1st start, Lexington Independents will rebrand the dining hall focused completely on the student and food experience for break and lunch. Lexington will also upgrade kitchen equipment to improve efficiencies that support the new culinary team’s preparation of authentic & innovative favorites from the Classic Kitchen; made-to-order sandwiches from The Local Deli; and Greens, which offers plant-based foods with an expansive salad bar, embracing a farm-to-table dining experience.

A variety of customized culinary approaches through our menu management system will show transparent ingredients, including the Top 9 Allergens, which is designed for students who request gluten-free, vegetarian, and allergen-free friendly meals. Fueled by BeWell, a health and wellness platform, will also enhance optimal nutrition for peak performance!  Through Fueled, student-athletes and any active individuals may receive tools and resources such as education materials, BeWell Menu options, team sports presentations, individualized nutrition plans using recipes, and more!

In addition to healthy menu options, students will have access to Nicole Short, MS, RDN Corporate Wellness Dietitian for Lexington, who will provide menu planning support for specialized diets, as well as nutrition counseling.

Lexington’s catering expertise will furthermore guide clients to create the perfect menus for special events and conferences, as well as charitable events onsite and offsite to the local community.

When students return in August, they will also experience a new look that complements Lexington’s brand, including digital signage, merchandising, and service ware as well as new technology that expedites orders for grab-and-go.
